Mentoring
Our mentoring programme is being developed in response to the needs of young people attending our clubs, recognising that there is a need for additional one-to-one support alongside our existing activities.
Through working closely with young people, families, and partner organisations, we have trialled a mentoring approach that provides a safe, supportive space for young people to talk, reflect, and navigate periods of uncertainty, change, or challenge. Mentoring can help build confidence, resilience, and self-belief, while supporting young people to identify and work towards personal goals.
Through our pilot project the programme has evolved, we have gained valuable feedback and experience enabling us to better understand the needs of the young people we support, and how mentoring can make a positive difference both inside and outside of educational settings. As a result our mentoring project will now be delivering within Kibworth Mead Academy and within primary schools, and is ready to be rolled out further if we are successful in securing the funding needed.
Meetings can be arranged in a safe, convenient location such as a school, library, community venue, café, or another agreed setting where both parties feel comfortable.
Mentoring support is available through referral by young people, parents and carers, schools, and other professionals. Please contact us to find out more or discuss a referral.
